Fellow Female Hikers might love the Kula Cloth!! One must when I go hiking, day hike or mutli. Water bladders are the best, I drink so much more with the straw right there. I often pack a Smooth Bag on hikes to get off the wet muskeg or hard ground. So comfy but takes a bit of room.

I don’t hike, but wouldn’t your feet be more comfortable in tennis shoes than sandals? I’d be afraid my feet would slip and I’d go sailing down a rock. Also, I would think you should more food. If you get stuck out there overnight, would you have enough food with you? Great video!

Hi Amanda— I use a Sawyer too (like everyone now, I guess). But if you’re not bringing a bottle and only one bladder, what are you drinking out of or filtering into?

no pants, socks or hygiene kit. no shelter or map /compass. phone is great till it breaks. lighter plus fire kit ( have you used it) is good. no cup to boil water for tea or bouillon.

  38. Tracy George on March 14, 2021 at 12:14 am

What size water bladder do you carry? I have a 2L. Is that enough for a day hike in the desert? I also have a Sawyer Mini but haven’t used it before (a bit nervous to!).

  39. Lapatka Sentivkas on March 14, 2021 at 12:16 am
