Good news about the new exhaust elbow.
Great video and enjoyed the fishing trip

Not a bad choise going with the OE Yanmar part for that price 👍🏼 ofc a custom made stainless elbow might last longer. But it might or might not fit, and then feeling bad abt it.

Yay! its AB Saturday! I dont usually comment but wanted to say, your camera work is great. The scene in the boat yard, you get both of you guys in the shot, and the scene of the yard, a car on the left, office on the right, boats around, and its a still, level shot. Better than many self proclaimed Youtube video "professionals" lol. Great insight to the Greek fishing boat too, Cheers.

You were robbed by the rental guy for off season rental. That car must have been sitting there gathering dust waiting for July to come. Not that you could do much about it being where you are. Prices in Athens should be half what you paid this time of year. High VAT is due to our German friends and lenders..

Thank you for the Fuel add said the injectors on you boat 🙂 and there is a Paste that you can check to see if you have Water in your fuel Tank most companies that run a diesel tank on there Generators use it to check for water 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsdIrpyMUcA

You’d be right. Shantaram is at Dimstef. Did you see her? I was hoping to get a glimpse.

One engine mechanic once told me that using adjectives is like turning an engine into a drug addict.

Thats 500$ Canadian for an elbow, and I though HD parts were expensive. Cant wait to see what was the cause or your leaking on the keel.

A small carbon dioxide alarm in the engine bay would give you early warning something was wrong 🙂

About the fishing nets: Are the ropes in a strait line downwards? And, how deep are the nets? Cu

Hey guys, good to have another video from you !
Do you still plan on emptying and cleaning the fuel tank or you hope the additives will do the job ?
From what people have told me and from additive test i read at the magazines, relying on the additives is dangerous because they do avoid bacteria growth but the don’t actually dissolve the existent, so the bacteria mud ends up blocking the filters and the engine stops while you’re using it… Anyways i hope the infos help and i you do empty and clean the tank please film it as i plan to do it this same job on spring 😉

I agree with the Greek engineer who said "Get a new elbow". Some repairs are more vital than others and the elbow… I would always be wondering how long other bits of a repaired elbow would last.
