Rattling off all the different hooks, lures and bait in your box isn’t helpful to a new fisher.

  6. Beetelgeuse99 on December 11, 2020 at 9:46 pm

ill defend snap swivels…. as a new fisherman its easier to switch lures as i really dont want to have to cut and re-tie lures …. spend more time doing that than fishing lol

Still fishing in my local lake. Trout are 20-30′ down. Bottom of lake 45-50′ I use a bottom rig most of the time to catch with 18-24" leader. Powerbait or worm and a scented marshmallow. No hits, zero, nada. Bait’s only floating 2′ off the bottom. Trout can’t look down ? What’s a good technique while anchored to get the bait to that depth where the fish are? Worm on a hook let it fall to the bottom and reel up to that depth? So frustrating… Hundreds of fish not seeing or not interested. Please help!

Buys Floating power bait. Sinks it with a split shot from a Bobber. O.o

  13. ronny raygunz on December 11, 2020 at 9:50 pm

What I do takes about 10-20 seconds but I’ll reel in and leave 8-10 feet of line out and let the line unwind.

  25. Ryry K on December 11, 2020 at 10:08 pm

Use a pickerel rig and real worms split the worm in half so you got two half’s for each hook go to the pharmacy ask for a needle with syringe and then fill the end of worm with a bit of air so they float you’ll catch tons of trout 🙂

  26. Jose Marrero on December 11, 2020 at 10:09 pm

Thanks for this! I went fishing this weekend and only caught one trout (hooked him on his side with a marabou jig) but finally gave up on trout and went for smallmouth bass and caught the biggest bass of my life, but I prefer trout, I’m just terrible at fishing for them.

For bobber stops use the lightest split shot you can find I use tiny tin and fly fishing sinkers and they work great

So I made a comment last year about how 2018 was terrible fishing for me well this year has gone really good got 8 trout a few months after watching this video and all of them were caught using your methods. Also 2 days ago I caught a 27" steelhead.

Edit: I just caught 6 trout yesterday
