@8:38 I didn’t even know that DCL held walleye. Very cool!

Sept and Oct can be good months at DCL with greatly reduced boating traffic. A good dock pattern develops on the remaining docks that have not been pulled as long as there is 3 ft of water below them, try smaller cranks and in-line spinners. Lots of smallies at the state park rocky shorelines but they are mostly small, some pike & pickerel there too. Upper lake weed beds hold bass, pike, picks and some big yellow perch…try the in-line spinners and 1/8 th oz hairjigs in minnow patterns for them in dying weed bed areas that have open pockets/holes or sparse weed cover in 6-14 ft of water. Good luck!

Watch those teeth! Still can’t believe you tossed the ‘eye back! They are the best eating fish in the lake. Just came back from a trip up there filming a video where we filed the cooler with them. You’re right, the boat traffic bites, far worse during the summer midday. Makes it almost impossible to fish at all.

I fished there 2 times and have had it tough both times…just seems like a tough lake with all the boat traffic and stuff
