I love the way you talk on your videos; they are fun to listen to as well as quite informative!
You made me lol =) <3
Wow I feel attacked this was me for the half of the alpha stages
Don’t put butcher table and the cooking table in the same room
i have like 40 chikens whit high tolerance of ambrosia or beers
i forgot to put a campfire in they room lol
well a mortair kill all and let 1 whit no legs
-Don’t have a Frank in the first place. Kill your pet immediately to avoid drama.
-Nutrient Paste is your friend. No need to have one of your guys chained to the stove all day.
-Shooting a bad guy is good. Making him walk through two dozen traps is better. This is especially good if you have the medieval mod because spikes don’t need to be reset.
First colony ever, all my colonists died to a tortoise..
Don’t forget to throw away your humanity, dead human are great resource.
mistake you made: putting your kitchen and butcher in the same room; cross contamination!
If you can manage it, only tame herbivores, or omnivores that can subsist on mostly vegetation. Carnivore’s make for problematic pets, whereas herbivores can happily be left nature and be called upon when needed.
P.S. make sure to murder every predator on the map before you find a warg eating your sheep.
Nice video! Too bad I watched this after I made the mistakes.
I seem to do that a lot – I looked at Frank haha
Don’t take luciferium in the early game
sorry im an idiot
My brother discovered this, in order to keep it cool, you can place coolers in the middle of your base with a exhaust vent pointed into 1×1 space with an open ceiling
I learned about friendly fire hard way as one of my pawns got his chest turned into "bloody mist" xD
I played this game alot and i will never learn how not to starve my People….. I mean i always think there is enough and it never is
came for the pointers, stayed because Frank told me to.
Expecting the game to be easy… Rookie mistake
beware of maddened boom rats
Dont attack Linux without a decent weapons, my first colony got wipe out by two of them.
Tame boomalopes. They can be milked for fuel and are easy to feed. But. Make sure they are penned up where they are unlikely to be shot by accident.
It took me a while before I realised the job part…
Doors count as walls, the floor under them is Not affected, so it doesn’t lower the beauty of a room. To increase beauty upgrade your walls to stone. It’s more beautiful then Wood and fireproof.
Never build with wood.
i look because i have a cat
I’ve found having animals meaning keeping a huge food supply and only allow them walk around my hay fields and keeping a 1 or 2 block storage as critical with only hay, kibble, potatoes, corn amd rice as placeable; still though with a dedicated handler I’m rescuing animals from starvation constantly finding birds are more trouble unless u slaughter every group that spontaneously joins u for meat
Im guilty for the battery rain thing
good sence of humor!
Don’t have too many animals, you may starve.
The game tells you this, but be careful when hunting animals with a 10% or higher chance to retaliate/go mad. Make sure you have full defenses up and working. Earlier today I began hunting a group of mares, as I realized I ran out of food in the winder. Next thing I knew I had 5 horses on my doorstep. And wouldn’t you know it, I ran out of power and my turrets went offline. It was actually _thanks_ to an incendiary launcher (and my tanking melee fighter that all the horses were focusing) that all of my colonists managed to make it out alive, although my base _is_ made out of steel. Even if you are early on in the game, you can still set up hallways with traps outside of your doors. Occasionally a colonist might trip one and get downed though.
I use the corpses of my enemies to feed my animals
Do not use hydroponics
Use a sun lamp on dirt saves ludicrous amounts of energy
Let’s you set up like 4 sun lamps instead of just one
I like to use three because it makes a sweet pattern
My mistake when i played first time. I had no idea how combat worked so i thought its just click the target and your colonists will kill him. So i triend aand all my ranged units went in melee range and got shanked. After that i took few minutes to learn the basics of combat like unit movement.
Don’t forget to close that back door after you draw in the raid to the fatal funnel.. Squirrels, rats, raccoons, chipmunks, and other creatures will get in your base and literally DESTROY YOUR FOOD SUPPLY!!
Don’t shoot each other in the back… Bashed with a rifle barrel…
Wait hold up
don’t store chemfuel, mortar shells and other explosives in your main storage. Store it in the bedrooms
I am kinda disappointed that I know of all of the events
Because now I am prepared for EVERYTHING
Taking one look at your setup here is what I’m gonna say…
DON’T USE WOOD TO BUILD YOUR BASES!!! Yes it’s cheap and viable early game but a stone cutting table is easy to make and why do you want to live in a giant flammable death trap that can be utterly doomed by one rogue molotov cocktail when you can live in a mighty stone fortress that will laugh and scoff when fire tickles its walls
Having 5 Female cats Pregnant..
don’t over encumber caravan on the way back from a quest i cant unload and it says both of them are downed
wtf is this shit
Really feels nice to know all of this before hand pretty big confidence boost
Make sure the ancient dander room walls are fire proof
out of game don’t add all your mods in all at once even if you don’t start before having all of them on add them in small enough groups at a time too many and you’ll find the game not responding when you load it up, deactivating all your mods (which is annoying when you have a mod manger mod on and you forget to reactivate it), or your game can’t generate a new world (have fun trying to find that issue if so, i know i haven’t yet and spent all day so far trying to)
According to the Schrödinger’s cat theory. Frank could very well be under your bed as you sleep. So long as you don’t look under your bed. (Seriously don’t do it)
I had 3k rice stocked. Then a cold nip came followed with a toxic fallout. It took so damn long to end. Had to kill my 5 rhino’s around 15-ish muffalos and pigs. At the end i only had 1 male muffalo and pig left and 1 female muffalo and pig. Then my colony was still starving. So i did little hunting trips. Now both have ended and im almost hitting 20k corn and rice with 7k permican 2k simple meals and 600 lavish meals. Yea not gonna let that happen again xD
Yes we all be idiots sometimes in the world of rim never easy in this world to survive. Good video *tumbs up* 😃
My fucking colonist won’t fight at all when they have a fucking shield belt equipped won’t shoot won’t waltz up and beat anything with a club they just stand there and take bullets what am I not understanding my best killer won’t kill when one is equipped
"The sex."
dont open an ancient danger room :p
