Croton Point Park in Wintertime RV Campground on the Hudson river, tour Westchester County Park NY

This is the latest edition of the Walk in the park series, Croton Point Park RV Campground tour and Lunch down by the Hudson River Westchester County Park NY.
I’m searching for Parks with an RV campground to visit when we finally get our new trailer. Croton Point had it all hiking, camping, history and nature, all within 30 minutes of the NYC line.
I had a great day exploring the park and had a nice lunch , while sitting on some driftwood down by the Hudson River.

Woah…$60. NY prices? 😁 Loved the history lesson. Great spot to stop and have some PB and J. Is that the Icabod Crane Sleepy Hollow? Great hike. Full watch. 👍💪

Looks a nice place to camp, we often pick campgrounds near the coast or a river. Thanks for sharing👍

Love all the trees. The map is greener than the park. LOL! Their pricing isn’t bad. I bet it’s really pretty in the spring. Those cabins have seen better days. Hopefully, they don’t still rent those out. How many were there, and did all their cabins look like that one? Bald Eagle- that was awesome. Shame about the pool and the cabins. Leaving things like that really take away from an otherwise nice campground. Nice lunch by the Hudson River.

county park campgrounds are really neat… we don’t have them anywhere close to where we live in FL (i’m sure there’s some somewhere that I don’t know of)… Nice tour and even a better lunch.. lol Is that really where "up the river" came from?

Can you drive up to your tent site daily or do you have to haul your gear in from a parking lot?

Thanks for the nice tour of Croton Point Park in winter. I watched it to see if you would know anything about the pool. Like you, I discovered it by accident. I lived in Westchester about 30 years and never knew much about it. Btw, Westchester does have several county pools and town pools. Wealth exists, but there are working class and even poor areas.

Looks like a great park with some great views plus near the beach. You can’t beat that at all. Nice history on the park as well. Loved the eagle as well. Bought forgot to mention that. Great share buddy.
